The event will start on Friday evening with the historical and religious processions and in the village workshops and jobs of those times will be set up, all will be accompanied by animation, made up by duels among knights, the presence of elves, of fortune-tellers and sorceresses.
Immagine16On Saturday at 6:00 p.m., the event will reach its climax with the historical evoking of the entrance of the king Federico II in "Castrum et Terram Montis Albani", accompanied by over 300 figures, who will continue to dance all night long with the participation of the fire-breathing performer, jugglers and hand-to-hand fights and all will end with fireworks late at night.
24th August Feast in honour of Maria S.S della Providenza.
One of the most original and ancient religious festivities of Nebrodi.
Living Christmas crib

In the ancient town of Montalbano Elicona on 26 and 30 December, the evocative living Christmas crib, with over 200 figures, gives us a taste of the magic of Christmas.
Houses, no longer inhabited, make up the scenario and you can discover how farmers used to live in ancient times with the rebuilt environments, exactly as they were, by local workers in the authentic little houses of the old town, where the stone hearths as well as the terracotta floor are kept; where the ancient jobs live again in the figures of the basket-maker, the blacksmith, the stone-cutter, the merchant, the baker, the weavers…where the strong smell of the bread, just out of the oven, accompanies you, together with the sounds and the music, along the path.
The walk through the old town of Montalbano Elicona, acknowledged by the Municipalities of Italy Association as “one of the most beautiful villages of Italy”, with its typical alleys lit up by torches and animated by the sounds of the bagpipes and by the ancient songs of the farmers, represents a moment of religious meditation as well as an occasion of cultural enrichment.
